Elizabeth, LMSW

Therapist | Trauma-Informed Care Specialist

Hello, I am Elizabeth Hooser, I have over a decade of experience in social services and eight years as a clinician in both inpatient and outpatient settings.  I am most passionate about supporting people through life’s hardest moments.

I became a therapist because I believe in people—especially people who’ve been through a lot. You are not your diagnosis. You are not broken. I know how hard life can feel sometimes, and I also know that healing is possible. Watching clients come back to themselves—stronger, more self-aware, and more at peace—is the most rewarding part of this work.

My specialty is working with individuals who are navigating complex and layered mental health needs. Many of my clients are transitioning out of inpatient treatment and are seeking support as they step back into daily life. I work often with people facing co-occurring mental health and substance use challenges, mood disorders, trauma, and identity-related concerns.

I also support those living with bipolar disorder, schizophrenia spectrum disorders, and people managing symptoms that may feel overwhelming or difficult to talk about. I especially enjoy working with adolescents, young adults, LGBTQ+ individuals, and healing work.

Elizabeth Therapy Style

My style is real, supportive, and deeply trauma-informed. I use an integrative blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), somatic work, person-centered therapy, and mindfulness-based techniques. Whether we’re working through patterns of emotional dysregulation, substance use, or the aftermath of trauma, my goal is to create a space where you feel grounded, supported, and safe in your healing process.

Therapy with me is a space where you can breathe, be seen, and be met exactly where you are. Life can be heavy—especially if you have been managing symptoms alone for a long time. You don’t have to figure it out by yourself anymore. I bring real talk, deep empathy, and steady guidance to help you reconnect with your strength, one step at a time.

Let’s begin your journey toward healing today. For more information or to schedule a session, reach out to Elizabeth at elizabeth@liveconsciouslypllc.com.
